Gynecology Department
The Gynecology Departments at Athinaiki General Clinic and the Medifirst clinics are characterised by the scientific training of the medical and nursing staff, the cutting-edge equipment, and the comfortable patient-friendly environment. Our Gynecology Centre offers our patients the full range of gynecological care.
Medical examinations include a complete review of the patient’s medical history and the gynecological examination, with particular emphasis on ensuring dignity and respect for each woman. Regular preventive screening tests, including breast exams and Pap tests, are performed.
Our clinics are equipped with state-of-the-art Philips ultrasound machines for performing pelvic (transvaginal) ultrasound exams.
In our clinics, we investigate and treat a variety of conditions including uterine bleeding, menstrual disorders, hormonal imbalances, and gynecological pain. You can also consult our gynecologists regarding problems with urinary incontinence, contraceptive methods, infertility and immunisation.
In addition, depending on your needs, further examinations and minimally invasive procedures can be performed at all Medifirst clinics, including vaginal fluid cultures, management of human papillomavirus (HPV) in collaboration with the Dermatology Department and vulvar biopsies. Colonoscopies can also be performed at Athinaiki General Clinic.
